4 of a family killed in bus-car head-on collision in Cox's Bazar's Ramu

Four members of the same family died following a head-on collision between a passenger bus and a car in Cox's Bazar's Ramu yesterday (24 August)
The crash initialy claimed two lives – Barrister Yasin, 34, and his 3-year-old son, Yazan.
Two others – Dr Sumaiya, 33, and Salma Ahmed, 60 – died this morning (25 August) while undergoing treatment at the ICU of Cox's Bazar Sadar Hospital, said Ramu Highway Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Nasir Uddin.
Sumaiya was the sister of Barrister Yasin Ahmed, while Salma was their mother.
The accident occurred in front of Sapnatori Park in Rashidnagar union of Ramu upazila around 6pm yesterday, when a Marsha Transport Service bus traveling towards Chattogram collided head-on with a car coming from the opposite direction.
According to OC Nasir, the car was severely damaged in the collision, leaving one person dead at the scene and five others injured. Locals rushed the injured to Ramu upazila Health Complex, where the emergency doctor pronounced the child dead.
Due to the critical condition of others, they were transferred to Cox's Bazar Sadar Hospital, where two more succumbed to their injuries this morning.
