2018 polls: 33 ex-DCs, now joint secretaries, made OSD
The public administration ministry issued six separate gazette notifications in this regard today (19 February)

Thirtry-three joint secretaries, who were deputy commissioners during the 2018 Jatiya Sangsad polls and served as returning officers, have been made officers on special duty (OSDs).
The public administration ministry issued six separate gazette notifications in this regard today (19 February).
The order was issued in the public interest, the notifications said.

Earlier, 12 returning officers who served in 2018 election process were also made OSD.
A Ministry of Public Administration official told The Business Standard that the government will also consider taking action against other officials who served as returning officers in the 2018 elections, including those who held positions such as divisional commissioner, superintendent of police, and officer-in-charge.
