3 killed as bus loses control, hits tree in Cumilla
Several other injured are stated to be in critical condition
Three people were killed and at least 15 others were injured as a bus crashed into a tree in Chandina upazila of Cumilla on Dhaka-Chattogram highway this evening (1 April).
Monirul Islam, sub inspector of Eliotganj Highway Crossing Police Station, said a "Tisha Transport" bus was travelling from Dhaka to Cumilla when it lost control and crashed into a tree around 6:30 pm, leaving one dead on the spot.
Two other injured succumbed to their injuries at Chandina Upazila Health Complex, he said.

The identities of the deceased have not been confirmed yet.
Mohammad Arifur Rahman, a physician at Chandina Upazila Health Complex, said two of the injured passengers were declared dead upon arrival.
He said several other injured are stated to be in critical condition.
