3 Jubo League activists held during procession in Dhaka

Three activists from the Bangladesh Juba League were caught by locals while attempting to organise a procession in the capital's Dhanmondi area yesterday evening.
Before handing them over to the Mohammadpur police, a mob formed and beat them, according to eyewitnesses.
The detainees were identified as Laboni, 35, Sirajul, 45, and Raju, 30.
Shahriar Hasan, officer-in-charge (OC) of Mohammadpur Police Station, said a group of individuals affiliated with AL attempted to stage a procession in the Dhanmondi-27 area, chanting slogans.
The public then intervened and caught three of them, and later handed them over to the police.
The trio is currently being interrogated, added the OC.
