Two workers died in an explosion at Rahimafrooz factory in Birulia of Dhaka's Savar today (25 February).
The deceased were identified as Oliur Rahman and Hoyjuddin.
Jewel Mia, officer-in-charge (OC) of Savar Model Police Station, said a goods-laden vehicle arrived at the factory from Dhaka in the morning.

"At one stage, a battery exploded inside the factory while unloading the goods on the truck from Dhaka in the afternoon, leaving two workers dead on the spot."
On information, police recovered the bodies and sent those to Shaheed Suhrawardy Medical College and Hospital morgue for autopsy, the OC added.
He further said police are investigating the incident and action will be taken on the basis of the investigation.
