19 more Bangladeshi fishermen reportedly abducted by Arakan Army from Naf river

Members of Myanmar's Arakan Army have allegedly abducted 19 Bangladeshi fishermen along with four trawlers from the Naf river in Cox's Bazar's Teknaf.
The incident occurred when the fishermen were returning from the sea today (20 February), Teknaf Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Sheikh Ehsan Uddin said.
"Efforts are being made to bring them back after discussing with the Border Guard Bangladesh [BGB]."
The UNO further said of the four trawlers, two are from Kayukkhali ghat in the upazila and the other two from Shahporir Dwip's ghat.
The identities of the farmers remain unknown.
Attempts to contact the BGB Teknaf-2 Battalion were unsuccessful.
Earlier, on 10 February, the Arakan Army allegedly abducted four Bangladeshi fishermen from the Naf River.
The abductees were identified as Md Hasan, 30, Abdu Rokim, 20, Md Jaber, 26, and Md Hasan, 16, all residents of Dakshinpara in Sabrang union.
Despite attempts over the past 10 days, it has not been possible to bring them back.
