Thirteen more people died at the Covid-19 unit of Rajshahi Medical College Hospital (RMCH) in the last 24 hours.

Of the deceased, five were coronavirus positive and eight died of symptoms. Among the dead, eight are from Rajshahi, four from Chapainawabganj and one from Kushtia.

According to the report by RMCH, 48 new patients have been admitted in the last 24 hours.

Of them, 27 are from Rajshahi, eight from Chapainawabganj, seven from Natore, four from Naogaon, one from Pabna and one from Kushtia.

There are 344 admitted patients as against 271 beds in the hospital. Among them, 186 are from Rajshahi, 99 from Chapainawabganj, 20 from Natore, 25 from Naogaon, seven from Pabna, five from Kushtia, one each from Sirajganj and Chuadanga.

Yesterday, 373 samples from Rajshahi were tested in the two PCR labs in Rajshahi and 162 came out positive. The infection rate was detected to be 43.43 percent.

From 111 samples of Natore, 26 people came positive and the infection rate was 23.42 percent. Out of 139 samples from Naogaon, 35 came positive and theinfection rate was 25.18 percent. And of the 133 samples from Chapainawabganj, 32 people came positive making the infection rate 24.6 percent.
