1 more child with measles symptoms dies in Rajshahi

One child died from measles-like symptoms at Rajshahi Medical College and Hospital (RMCH) between 8am yesterday and 8am today (6 May), according to the hospital authority.
During the same period, 13 new patients with measles-like symptoms were admitted to RMCH.
RMCH spokesperson Dr Shankar K Biswas confirmed the information adding that 13 patients were discharged following treatment in the past 24 hours.

So far this year, at least 55 children have died from confirmed measles infections in Bangladesh.
At present, a total of 111 patients with suspected measles are undergoing treatment at the hospital.
A total of 939 patients have been admitted with suspected measles symptoms so far.
