Festive atmosphere as voting underway in Lakshmipur’s 4 Constituencies

The 13th National Parliamentary Election began in Lakshmipur this morning (12 February) amid a festive atmosphere and tight security arrangements.
Polling started at 7:30am across the district's four constituencies.
From early morning, long queues of voters were seen at different polling centres, reflecting a significant turnout.
At the Uttar Lorens Madinatul Ulum Madrasa centre in Lakshmipur-4 and the Lakshmipur Girls' School centre in Lakshmipur-3.
Assistant Superintendent of Police Hosain Mohammad Raihan Kazemi said a total of 29 candidates are contesting in the district's four constituencies.
Authorities have categorised 496 polling centres based on their importance and security needs. Of them, 215 centres have been marked as highly important, 198 as important, and 83 as general.
Around 10,000 members of law enforcement agencies have been deployed across the district.
Each polling centre has been assigned two police personnel and 13 Ansar members.
In addition, 37 police mobile teams, six striking forces, 27 executive magistrates and 10 judicial magistrates are working in the field to maintain law and order.
Furthermore, there are 732 members of the Army, 40 members of the Air Force, 200 BGB personnel, 32 Coast Guard members in char areas, along with RAB and plainclothes police members.
