Magnitude 6.2 earthquake strikes New Ireland Region

An earthquake of magnitude 6.2 struck New Ireland Region near Papua New Guinea on Friday, the European Mediterranean Seismological Centre said.
The quake was at a depth of 100 km (62.14 miles), EMSC said.
