Resistance Front denies Pahalgam attack involvement, accuses India of spreading false claim
“Any attribution of this act to TRF is false, hasty, and part of an orchestrated campaign to malign the Kashmiri resistance,” they said in a statement sent to the media today (26 April)

The Resistance Front, an armed organisation that operates in Jammu and Kashmir, has denied involvement with the Pahalgam attack, although information had spread earlier that they were behind the shootout which killed at least 26 people.
"Any attribution of this act to TRF is false, hasty, and part of an orchestrated campaign to malign the Kashmiri resistance," they said in a statement sent to the media today (26 April).
Accusing the Indian intelligentsia for spreading the rumour, TRF said in their statement, "Shortly after the attack in Pahalgam, a brief and unauthorised message was posted from one of our digital platforms. After an internal audit, we have reason to believe it was the result of a coordinated cyber intrusion - a familiar tactic in the Indian state's digital warfare arsenal," The Hindu reported.
After the devastating Pahalgam attack, India has responded sharply with diplomatic measures against Pakistan, most prominent of which is the suspension of the 65-year-old Indus Waters Treaty.
India also closed the Attari land-border crossing and announced the expulsion of Pakistani military attachés.
All Pakistani nationals who had entered India through the Attari border have been asked to leave by 1 May.
Pakistan called the suspension of the Indus Waters Treaty an 'act of war' and retaliated by shutting its airspace to all Indian airlines.
