Will Trump's 'Maduro Model' Work in Iran?
Even though Maduro was removed in Venezuela, the political system there did not collapse. This shows that Trump's goal is not democracy, but control. This experience makes the idea of applying the same "Maduro Model" in Iran both misguided and dangerous.Iran's power structure is far stronger and more complex. External pressure is more likely to make the regime harsher rather than replace it—especially amid ongoing crises. Without a clear internal alternative, foreign intervention will increase uncertainty rather than bring freedom to the Iranian people.
