Uniform Civil Code in Assam, growing concern among Muslims
The Uniform Civil Code (UCC) is going to be implemented in the Indian state of Assam. After the formation of the new cabinet on May 13, the state government approved the proposal in this regard in its first meeting. It has been informed that the bill will be introduced in the assembly on May 26. However, Muslim leaders of the state have expressed concerns about this law.
