Troops withdraw from Gaza, Gazans return home

A ceasefire agreement between Israel and Hamas came into effect on the morning of October 10, ending two years of fierce fighting. The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) announced a partial withdrawal of troops from parts of Gaza shortly after the agreement came into effect. The British media outlet BBC confirmed this information.
