India-Pakistan tensions: Fear of nuclear war due to 'miscalculation'

The chances of war between India and Pakistan are low. However, any 'miscalculation or irrational reaction' could push a general war into a nuclear war, according to a US intelligence report from the 1980s to 1990s. The report was released at a time when India is infuriated by the terrorist attack in Pahalgam in Indian-controlled Jammu and Kashmir, and Pakistan is also reacting strongly.
