The new head of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has been announced less than 12 hours after the killing of Major General Mohammad Hossein Salami in an Israeli airstrike. Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei has appointed Brigadier General Mohammad Pakpour as the head of the IRGC.
