Hong Kong Ravaged by the Deadliest Fire in Its History
A massive fire at the 32-storey Wang Fuk Court complex in Hong Kong's Tai Po has killed 44 people and left 279 missing. The intense heat and smoke from the fire have hampered rescue efforts. The fire is believed to have started in the bamboo lofts of three buildings. Panic has gripped the eight-block complex, home to 4,600 residents. Highways have been closed, schools have been closed and President Xi Jinping has issued an emergency order.
