Former Prime Minister arrested over Gen-G protest crackdown

Former Nepali Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has been arrested in connection with the crackdown on the Gen-G-led protests in Nepal a few months ago. Police said Oli was taken into custody from his residence in Gundu area of Bhaktapur on the morning of March 28. Nepali Congress leader and former Home Minister Ramesh Lekhak was arrested from Suryavinayak area of Bhaktapur early on the same day.
