Five years of social media data will now be required to enter the United States
The United States is introducing new requirements for visa-free travelers. Citizens of 42 countries, including the United Kingdom and Japan, may now have to provide additional personal information, including five years of social media data, old phone numbers and emails, on their ESTA forms. The Trump administration says the move is for security reasons; but analysts say it will increase the hassle and privacy risks for tourists.
