Judiciary lacked independence in past years: Chief Advisor
The entire nation is united to prosecute the July massacre, said Dr. Muhammad Yunus, the chief advisor to the interim government. He said this at a program on the 'Judiciary Independent Day' at a hotel in the capital on the afternoon of June 22. The chief advisor said, "It is our responsibility to fulfill the dream with which the youth made the July coup. The dream that the youth had for the country is possible to realize, if we work in the right way." He also said, "In the past years, the judiciary was not independent. Reforms are needed so that the judiciary can work independently. Currently, the judiciary is independent. The chief advisor said that work is also being done independently in the tribunals.
