Amid the heightened tensions in the Middle East, US President Donald Trump has announced a ceasefire between Iran and Israel. In a post on the social media site Truth Social he wrote, "The two countries have agreed to a 'complete and comprehensive' ceasefire to end the 12-day conflict." However, Iran's semi-official Fars News Agency said that Trump's ceasefire announcement was "completely false."
