Investigation ordered to determine whether Meghna Alam's mobile phone, laptop contain anti-state material
The court has ordered an investigation into the mobile phone and laptop of model Meghna Alam, who is in the news for her alleged fraud and extortion case filed at the capital's Dhanmondi Police Station, and a report to be submitted. The court of Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate MA Azharul Islam issued this order after the hearing on the morning of July 29. Model Meghna Alam appeared in court at around 11 am to get her passport, mobile phone and laptop back. At that time, Meghna entered the courtroom with a cartoon of dates and a prayer mat in her hand. The hearing of the case took place after about ten minutes. Earlier, on April 10, model Meghna was sent to jail with a 30-day detention order under the Special Powers Act. Later, her 30-day detention order was canceled. On April 17, she was arrested in a case filed by Dhanmondi Police Station. Later, the court granted her bail on April 28.
