World's longest flight launched, will fly in the sky for 29 hours
China Eastern Airlines has launched the world's longest commercial flight. The plane flew from Shanghai to Buenos Aires for 29 hours, covering nearly 20,000 kilometers. The only stopover on the entire journey was in Auckland, New Zealand, where it refueled and the crew changed. Although it is not non-stop, it is now the world's longest commercial route based on total travel time. The launch of the route fills the gap between China and major South American cities and simplifies air travel on three continents. This record was previously held by Singapore Airlines.
