Iran warns Trump will ‘pay the price’ after strikes
Tensions between the United States and Iran are rising after Donald Trump dismissed a direct warning from a senior Iranian security official. Iran's Ali Larijani warned that Trump would "pay the price" following recent U.S. and allied strikes targeting Iranian military infrastructure and leadership.
Trump responded by brushing off the threat, saying he "couldn't care less." The exchange has intensified already high tensions between Washington and Tehran, as both sides continue trading sharp rhetoric.
Iran claims the strikes damaged key missile and air defence systems and triggered retaliatory actions across the region, including missile and drone activity near U.S. positions. Meanwhile, U.S. officials say the operations are aimed at weakening Iran's nuclear and ballistic missile capabilities.
As warnings and threats continue from both sides, analysts fear the confrontation could escalate into a wider regional conflict.
