New traffic regulations at Bijoy Sarani: Commuters yet to reap benefit

Vehicles coming from Jahangir Gate can no longer turn right at the Bijoy Sarani signal as part of a new traffic regulation implemented by the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP). 

Vehicles from Uttara move at a snail’s pace near the Dhaka airport close to the exit point of Gazipur BRT. Several construction projects including BRT and metro rail have narrowed the road at this point creating bottlenecks.
