Bangladesh's star all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan finally scored a fifty in recognised T20s after 10 matches. Playing for the Antigua & Barbuda Falcons in the Caribbean Premier League, Shakib played a blistering innings against the Saint Lucia Kings, smashing 61 runs off just 26 balls. His innings included five fours and five sixes.

His previous T20 fifty came in the opening match of this year's Global T20 League, when he played for the Dubai Capitals against New Zealand's Central Districts.
At the Daren Sammy Stadium in Saint Lucia, Shakib reached his fifty in just 20 balls — equalling his fastest fifty in recognised T20s. His strike rate during the innings was 234.61, the highest of his career in any 30+ run T20 innings. His previous best was a strike rate of 222.58, achieved during the 2023–24 BPL season when he scored 69 off 31 balls for Rangpur Riders against Khulna Tigers.
Shakib's team posted a total of 204 for 4, but Saint Lucia chased it down with 13 balls and six wickets to spare. Kiwi opener Tim Seifert led the charge with a destructive unbeaten 125 off 53 balls, sealing the victory for the Kings. With the ball, Shakib bowled two overs and conceded 32 runs.
