SAFF Championship likely to start from Sept 19
Bangladesh hosted the SAFF Championship in 2018 but this time Bangladesh is going to host the Championship in second consecutive time to celebrate the birth centenary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.

The South Asian Football Federation (SAFF) is taking preparations to start the Bangabandhu SAFF Championship from September 19, the probable date to start the championship.
"As we know that the SAFF Football is scheduled to be held in September. So, we are thinking to fix a probable date (September 19) to start the championship, though it's not the final date," said Anwarul Haque Helal, general secretary of SAFF, while talking to the media today.
He said they would discuss with the participating teams in this issue and if the teams give their consent, then they would finally announce the date.
