His name was not included in the players' draft due to injury. But as soon as Mashrafe Bin Mortaza started training, teams started showing immense interest to have him in their team.

Fortune Barishal were the first team to show interest in Mashrafe. They applied to the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) on December 01. Then Gemcon Khulna showed their interest publicly and applied to acquire Tigers' ex-ODI skipper a few days later. Now, Minister Group Rajshahi have joined the race to acquire Mashrafe.

Rajshahi's media manager Hannar Sarker said that they planned their team surrounding Saifuddin who has already missed a handful number of games and there is no certain date of his return. Rajshahi, after winning their first two matches, lost the next three consecutive games and their bowling has been pretty poor. An experienced campaigner like Mashrafe will certainly help them in this regard.

"We've been struggling with our bowling unit lately. Bowling will play a significant role in the next three games, so we naturally want Mashrafe. He can help us," said Hannan Sarker.

Despite three teams already in the race for Mashrafe, BCB has said nothing in this regard so far.
