Men's hockey team off to India

The Bangladesh national men's hockey team departed for India this morning to take part in the 2025 Men's Asia Cup Hockey Tournament, set to be held from August 29 to September 7 in Rajgir, Bihar.
The prestigious continental competition will bring together Asia's top hockey nations, with Bangladesh placed in Pool B alongside defending champions South Korea, Malaysia, and Chinese Taipei.
All matches will be held at the Bihar Sports University Hockey Stadium in Rajgir, a city located in the eastern Indian state of Bihar.
Challenging Pool Draw for Bangladesh
Bangladesh faces a tough group stage, kicking off their campaign against Malaysia on August 29. They will return to action the very next day to play Chinese Taipei on August 30, before facing five-time Asia Cup champions South Korea on September 1.
The top teams from each pool will advance to the knockout stages, making every group match crucial for the men in red and green.

The Bangladesh Hockey Federation has named an 18-member squad for the tournament, along with one standby player. The team is a mix of experienced players and emerging talents, aiming to make a strong impression on the continental stage.
