Litton Das joins Bangladesh Tigers camp after being snubbed from Champions Trophy squad
The camp, which started today, aims to keep players on the fringes of the national team in peak condition.

Left out of Bangladesh's Champions Trophy squad due to poor form, Litton Das has joined the Bangladesh Tigers training camp in Mirpur.
After a short break following the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL), he has resumed training at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium.
The camp, which started today, aims to keep players on the fringes of the national team in peak condition.
According to Bangladesh Cricket Board's (BCB) Cricket Operations Manager, Shahriar Nafees, the camp will continue until domestic teams begin their preparations for the upcoming Dhaka Premier Division Cricket League in early March.
"The purpose of this camp is to ensure that players who are close to the national team remain in a structured training environment before joining their respective clubs for the league," said Nafees.
The Bangladesh Tigers camp is being conducted under the supervision of local coaches, with Sohel Islam leading the programme. The initial focus will be on fitness training before the players shift towards skill-based sessions. The camp is scheduled to run for 10 to 12 days.
Despite the national team's absence, the Sher-e-Bangla Stadium remains a hub of activity, with various teams undergoing training. The Under-19 squad is practising at the academy ground, while the women's national team continues its preparations for the upcoming domestic season. The Bangladesh Tigers camp has also commenced indoors today, adding to the bustling cricketing atmosphere.
Meanwhile, the Champions Trophy is set to begin on 19 February, with Bangladesh facing India in their opening fixture the following day. Their remaining group-stage matches are scheduled for 24 February against New Zealand and 27 February against Pakistan. The Bangladesh Tigers camp also serves as a contingency measure, ensuring standby players are ready to step in should any member of the Champions Trophy squad suffer an injury.
