Spain centre-back Pau Cubarsi has won the Fifa Best Young Player Award, presented by Aramco, following his starring role in his country's triumphant 2026 World Cup campaign.
The 19-year-old started all eight matches for La Roja as Spain secured a second world title with a 1-0 extra-time victory over Argentina in Sunday's (19 July) final at New York New Jersey Stadium.

Partnering Aymeric Laporte in central defence, he was part of a backline that conceded just once, in Spain's 2-1 quarter-final win over Belgium.
The teenager also made history by becoming one of only five teenagers to win the Fifa World Cup and the first defender ever to receive the tournament's Best Young Player award.
