A comprehensive victory for New Zealand in what was the best batting strip of the series, but Bangladesh will take the series 3-2.

The hosts should be worried about their tame loss in good batting conditions. They were resting a few stars, especially Shakib and Mustafizur, but this was still a World Cup bound squad and their lacklustre chase could be a cause of concern.

New Zealand completely outplayed them, except for a period of four overs between 12th and 15th, in which Afif Hossain and Mahmudullah took 50 runs.

A poor start and a poor finish as the hosts never came close to chasing down 162.

Afif remained unbeaten on a 33-ball 49, which was their only silver lining. Soumya Sarkar and Mushfiqur continued to struggle and the rest just couldn't get going.

Wickets were shared between everyone with Kuggeleijn and Ajaz taking two each.

7:14 pm

Duffy just picked up Shamim's wicket.

It's all going awry for Bangladesh - change of pace and Shamim is way too early on the slog, misses it completely and the ball finds the top of middle.

It was the slower ball from Duffy and he joins in the wicket-taking act as well.

Taskin comes to the middle.

7:08pm

Ajaz strikes again.

Six wickets down. Bangladesh are in big big trouble.

Afif is the only hope now.

Bangladesh need 48 in just 18 balls.

7:03 pm

Once again everything was looking good for Bangladesh.

Kuggeleijn picked up Mahmudullah's wicket.

6:59 pm

Afif is having an absolute party.

Mahmudullah is still in the middle.

Bangladesh with momentum by their side. 36 have come off the last three.

15 overs done. Bangladesh are 106 for 4.

6:30 pm

Big fish Mushfiq departs.

Ravindra picked up his wicket.

Mahmudullah comes to the crease.

Bangladesh are 46 for 4 after 9 overs.

6:23 pm

Liton Das departed for 10 off 12 balls. Soumya soon followed him to the pavilion. And now Naim.

Bangladesh are going less than run a ball and the required rate has now climbed up beyond 9.

Bangladesh are 39 for 3 .

6:07 pm

Ajaz Patel strikes.

Liton is going back. He has scored 10 runs.

Bangladeshi openers were looking good. But under pressure Liton has thrown his wicket.

5:40 pm

A much better batting performance on a much better pitch. But a hard day for Bangladeshi bowlers.

Latham and Allen were dangerous today.

Latham has done his job. He has scored 50 in just 37 balls.

New Zealand applied themselves against spin much better. Shoriful experimented and was punished, conceding 48 off his four, including 18 off his final over.

5:16 pm

A marvelous catch behind the wicket by Nurul Hasan.

A yorker-length ball from Taskin does the job.

Henry Nicholls is going back to the pavilion.

Cole McConchie comes to the crease.

5:10 pm

The Black Caps crossed 50 runs in just 5.1 overs. But they have taken a bit more to cross the next 50.

15 overs gone. New Zealand are 107 for 4.

Tom Latham and Henry Nicholls are trying to put a fighting score on the board.

4:54 pm

Colin de Grandhomme departs.

Nasum gets his first wicket of the match.

Nasum gets him for the fourth time this series.

4:51 pm

New Zealand are still pretty happy as the run rate is good.

Captain Latham and Colin de Grandhomme are in the middle now.

After 10 overs, the visitors are 81 for 3.

4:44 pm

Afif joins the party.

He picked up the wicket of Will Young.

The visitors started really well. But continuously they are losing wickets.

4:31 pm

Dangerman Allen gone.

And it's Shoriful again. He picked up both the openers in the same over.

And Shoriful takes another one!

Finn Allen departs after a 24-ball 41.#NZvBAN | https://t.co/fpvMiplbRR https://t.co/1m47J1hn1h— ICC (@ICC) September 10, 2021

Allen scored 41 in just 24 balls.

New Zealand are 58 for 2 after 6 overs.

4:27 pm

First wicket goes down.

Shoriful has done the trick. He picked up Ravindra.

On the other hand, the visitors made 50 runs in just 31 balls.

4:20 pm

New Zealand are off to a brilliant start.

Finn Allen is looking really dangerous. Rachin Ravindra is giving him the perfect support.

Allen is now with 28 runs in just 17 balls.

This is the best opening partnership for the visitors in this series.

Shoriful gave away 19 in the fourth over.

After 4 overs, New Zealand are 38 without losing any wicket.

3:30 pm

New Zealand have won the toss and will bat first in the fifth T20I in Dhaka.

Four changes in Bangladesh and three on the visitor's side.
