Bangladesh top pool B with emphatic win over Sri Lanka in AHF Cup hockey
The result secured a semi-final clash on 25 April against Oman, who finished runners-up in Pool A on goal difference behind group winners Chinese Taipei.

Bangladesh finished as Pool B champions with a perfect record in the AHF Cup after a dominant 5-0 victory over Sri Lanka in their final group-stage match in Jakarta, Indonesia, on Wednesday.
The result secured a semi-final clash on 25 April against Oman, who finished runners-up in Pool A on goal difference behind group winners Chinese Taipei.
As in their previous outings, the men in red and green found it difficult to break the deadlock early on and were held goalless in the first half.
However, Mamun Ur Rashid's side finally found the breakthrough in the 39th minute through Rakibul Hasan's field goal. Rakibul struck again just three minutes later to double the lead.
Fazla Rabby and Arshad Hossain added to the tally with goals in the 43rd and 49th minutes respectively, before Naim Uddin capped off the win with a penalty corner conversion in the 50th minute.
