Bangladesh bowlers shine as Afghanistan bundled out for 190
Bangladesh’s bowlers were superb in their fight to keep the series alive. With Mustafizur Rahman and Rishad Hossain replacing Taskin Ahmed and Hasan Mahmud, the visitors struck at regular intervals.

Rishad Hossain delivered a brilliant googly that completely deceived Ibrahim Zadran. The ball, pitched around middle stump, struck the inside of the front pad. Had there been no obstruction, it would have gone on to clip the outside of the leg stump. The Bangladesh fielders made a strong appeal for lbw, but the umpire turned it down, allowing Ibrahim to survive.
At that point, in the 27th over of Afghanistan's innings, Ibrahim was on 60 and his team were 110 for 4. Later, in the 40th over, Ibrahim offered a return catch to Rishad, who leapt to take it but couldn't hold on. Once again, Ibrahim survived. However, he couldn't reach his century, falling five runs short when Mehidy Hasan Miraz dismissed him for 95 off 140 balls. Thanks largely to his innings, Afghanistan managed 190 before being bowled out in 44.5 overs.
This is now the lowest first-innings total by any team in an ODI at Abu Dhabi's Sheikh Zayed Stadium, breaking Pakistan's previous record of 197 against Australia in 2009. Bangladesh now need 191 runs to win — a very achievable target if their batters can complement the bowlers' fine work.

Tanzim Hasan Sakib removed Rahmanullah Gurbaz (11) with a sharp short ball on leg stump, which the batter mistimed while attempting a pull shot, offering a catch to Zakir Ali at deep square leg. Afghanistan's score was then 18. Soon after, Tanvirul Islam dismissed Sediqullah Atal, who advanced down the pitch but mistimed his shot and was caught by Tanzim for 8.
At 38 for 2, Ibrahim Zadran and Rahmat Shah tried to steady the innings. However, Rahmat faced trouble while running a single to deep midwicket off Tanvir's delivery outside leg stump. After receiving medical attention, he attempted to continue but eventually had to retire hurt. He returned later to bat but faced just one delivery before walking off again, ending Afghanistan's innings at 190 in 44.5 overs.
Mehidy Hasan Miraz was Bangladesh's most successful bowler, taking three wickets for 42 runs. Tanzim Hasan Sakib and Rishad Hossain picked up two wickets each, helping Bangladesh dominate with the ball.
