Bangladesh beat Indonesia in Asian Games Hockey

Bangladesh secured their second victory in the Asian Games hockey competition when they came from behind to win 3- 1 over Indonesia in their Pool A match today (26 September).
Indonesia took an early lead through Fatur Mochamad in the sixth minute, but Bangladesh quickly fought back as penalty-corner specialist Amirul Islam levelled the score in the 11th minute.
Amirul struck again in the 31st minute to put Bangladesh ahead before Russell Mahmud Jimmy scored a fine field goal three minutes later to seal the 3-1 victory.

Bangladesh had earlier thrashed Sri Lanka 5-1 in their previous match after suffering defeats to South Korea (5-0) and hosts Japan (6-1) in their opening two matches.
Bangladesh will face India in their final Pool A match on September 28, with the result crucial to their hopes of progressing to the next stage.
