On the last day of cycling at the Bangabandhu 9th Bangladesh Games today, the cyclists of the army have set records in all five events.

In women's 1200m team time trial at the Army Stadium - Shilpi Khatun, Subarna Barma, Sampati Biswas and Geeta Roy - set a new record in 1 minute 52.69 seconds. The previous record was held by Ansar; In 2013, 2 minutes 01.12 seconds.

In this event, Bangladesh Ansar won silver in 1 minute 57.60 seconds and Chittagong Divisional Sports Association won the bronze medal in 2 minutes 14.28 seconds.

In the men's 1800m team trial - Biswas Faisal Hossain, Alamgir Hossain, Muktadur Al Hasan and Shariful Islam - set a new record in 2 minutes 14.59 seconds. The previous record in 2017 was 2 minutes 21.32 seconds (Ansar).

Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) won silver in 2 minutes 15.56 seconds and Ansar won bronze in 2 minutes 16.6 seconds.

In the women's 4,000m scratch race, Army's Subarna Burma set a new record in 6 minutes 03.56 seconds. The previous record was 8 minutes 53 seconds in 2016 to end the then BJMC.

Bangladesh Ansar's Sonia Yasmin won silver in 8 minutes 13.43 seconds and Nabila Islam Mala of the same organization won bronze in 8 minutes 13.60 seconds.

Faisal Hossain, Shariful Islam, Mizanur Rahman and Helal Uddin set a new record in the men's 4000m team pursuit in 5 minutes 52.18 seconds. The previous record was held by Bangladesh Ansar in 2017 at 6 minutes 12.4 seconds.

Border Guard Bangladesh won silver in 8 minutes 08 seconds and Ansar won bronze in 8 minutes 6.48 seconds.

In the women's 2000m team pursuit, -Shilpi Khatun, Subarna Burma, Samapti Biswas and Sumitra Gain - of Army set a new record in 3 minutes 17.84 seconds. The previous record was 3 minutes 30.61 seconds for Ansar in 2016.

Ansar won silver in 3 minutes 32.28 seconds and Chittagong Divisional Sports Association won bronze in 3 minutes 48.56 seconds.

At the end of the four-day game, 13 new national records have been broken in 21 events.
