14th South Asian Games Rescheduled to November 2025
The Pakistan Olympic Association (POA) confirmed the rescheduling on 3 December through an official statement following a general council meeting on 30 November in Lahore.

The 14th South Asian (SA) Games, initially set for 1-12 February 2025 across four cities in Pakistan—Lahore, Islamabad, Rawalpindi, and Faisalabad—will now take place in November.
The Pakistan Olympic Association (POA) confirmed the rescheduling on 3 December through an official statement following a general council meeting on 30 November in Lahore, chaired by Syed Mohammad Abid Qadri Gillani.
"…It has been proposed that the National Games be organized in October 2025, followed by the South Asian Games, which are proposed to take place in November 2025," the POA stated.
Pakistan was awarded hosting rights for the 14th SA Games by the South Asian Olympic Council in December 2019. The country previously hosted the event in 1989 and 2004.
Originally scheduled for March 2023, the Games faced multiple delays, first to March 2024 and then to March 2025, as decided at the Olympic Council of Asia conference in Cambodia.
The upcoming edition is expected to feature approximately 2,672 athletes from seven South Asian nations—India, Bangladesh, Maldives, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Bhutan, and hosts Pakistan—competing across 37 sports.
