Unesco to commemorate the Language Movement with Bangladeshi artistes

Unesco will mark the Silver Jubilee of International Mother Language Day at its Paris headquarters from 20-21 February with a lineup of Bangladeshi artistes.
Renowned Bangladeshi musicians such as rapper Shezan, renowned folk artist Islam Uddin Palakar, Shunno's Imrul Karim Emil, and Parsha. Also performing are the famous Baul musician Tutul Baul, legendary flautist Jalal, renowned percussionist Mithun Chakra, the female band F Minor, and music director Jahid Nirob.
Bangladesh's Chief Adviser, Dr Muhammad Yunus, will attend the opening ceremony virtually, while Cultural Affairs Adviser Mostofa Sarwar Farooki will participate in a ministerial discussion.
A highlight of the event is a cultural performance by Bangladeshi artists, blending Baul, folk, and contemporary music. A special multilingual rendition of 'Amar Bhaiyer Rokte Rangano' will also be presented.
The event will feature speeches, music, and a documentary by Tanim Noor, celebrating Bangladesh's language heritage on a global stage.
