The Tom Holland-led film has generated $785 million in North America and $1.23 billion internationally, taking its worldwide total to $2.022 billion, says Variety.
The film reached the $2 billion mark in 21 days, making it the second-fastest movie to reach the threshold. "Avengers: Endgame" remains the fastest, achieving the milestone in 11 days.
"Spider-Man: Brand New Day" also crossed $1 billion in global ticket sales six days after its late July opening, reflecting strong international and domestic demand.
The film now ranks eighth among the biggest worldwide releases in history, joining the $2 billion club alongside films including "Avatar", "Avengers: Endgame" and "Titanic".
Box office analysts are watching whether the film can sustain its pace in the coming weeks. Its potential targets include becoming the first film to generate $1 billion in domestic ticket sales and, potentially, reaching $3 billion worldwide.
