Among the top releases are 'Borbaad', featuring the ever-charismatic Shakib Khan, 'Daagi', marking Afran Nisho's electrifying presence, 'Chokkor 302', showcasing Mosharraf Karim's stellar performance, and 'Jongli', with the talented Siam Ahmed in a gripping role.
With such an exciting mix of action, drama, and star power, these films are poised to be the talk of the town.
Shakib's Borbaad
Theatre director Mehedi Hasan Hridoy's debut film, 'Borbaad', is hitting theatres on Eid day. Shakib Khan takes the lead role, with Idhika Paul, Misha Sawdagor, and others in supporting roles. Plus, Kolkata's Nusrat Jahan makes an appearance in a special song.
A big chunk of the movie was filmed in India. Ever since the teaser dropped, fans have been buzzing with excitement. 'Borbaad' is a romantic action movie where Shakib Khan will be sporting a fresh new look, as teased in the trailer. One of the standout lines from the film is, "Ami shudhu ekta jinish-i bhabi, Neetu shudhu amar"; translating to —"I only think of one thing, Neetu is only mine".
Doesn't get much cheesier than this, does it?
The trailer shows Shakib in multiple unique looks, and it seems like the movie will be packed with love, revenge, and intense action sequences. Even from the small glimpses revealed, the action scenes are brutal and thrilling.
Even though West Bengal's Jisshu Sengupta has limited screen time, his presence has already caught attention. His look and expressions have fans predicting a memorable showdown.
Nisho returns to the silver screen with Daagi
Director Shihab Shaheen's 'Daagi' stars Afran Nisho and Tama Mirza in the lead roles, with notable supporting performances from Shahiduzzaman Selim and others.
Judging by the teasers and trailers, Afran Nisho's character, Nishan, is shown in three distinct looks and situations. He appears first with long hair, then with a more natural short-haired appearance, and finally in a prisoner's uniform with the number 786 on it.
This marks Nisho's second film. Speaking about his return to the big screen, Nisho said, "Every frame of this film holds deep meaning. Daagi is a story that will make viewers question fate and consequences."
Mysterious Siam in Jongli
The movie 'Jongli', directed by M Rahim, features Siam Ahmed, Shobnom Bubly, and Dighi in the lead roles. The supporting cast includes the likes of Dilara Zaman, Shahiduzzaman Selim and Rashed Mamun Apu among others.
Among all the upcoming Eid releases, 'Jongli' was one of the first to kick off its promotional campaign as the first poster of the film was released in March of last year.
The poster showcased Siam Ahmed in an intriguing and rugged look—wearing a lungi, a crow perched on his shoulder, a leaf cigarette on his lips, a matchstick in one hand, and blazing fire in the background. The mysterious atmosphere around the poster instantly caught attention.
The director shared his excitement about the audience's response, saying, "The story of 'Jongli' is something viewers haven't seen in years. I can confidently say it's both a full-fledged masala movie with a heartfelt story. It will make you laugh, cry, and capture you in a new kind of emotional bond."
Mosharraf Karim plays detective in Chokkor 302
Directed by Sharaf Ahmed, 'Chokkor 302' stars Mosharraf Karim as Detective Inspector Moinul, alongside Rikita Nandini Shimu in a key role. This government-funded thriller revolves around a murder investigation, combining suspense with a deeply human story that unfolds through the investigator's journey.
The director shared that the film's biggest strength is its unique story, which makes it a perfect Eid release. He's confident the movie's distinct story will appeal to audiences. Excitingly, 'Chokkor 302' received its certification without any cuts, a milestone Mosharraf Karim celebrated on Facebook, expressing hope and enthusiasm for the project.
Packed with mystery and emotional depth, the film promises to offer something fresh and engaging for viewers. With its thrilling narrative and Mosharraf Karim's portrayal of a determined investigator, 'Chokkor 302' is shaping up to be a standout release this Eid.
