Sharon Osbourne regrets blocking Ozzy’s Pirates of the Caribbean audition

Sharon Osbourne has revealed her biggest mistake—turning down an audition for Ozzy Osbourne in Pirates of the Caribbean. During a chat with Billy Corgan on The Magnificent Others podcast, Sharon admitted she shut down an opportunity for Ozzy to audition for the iconic role, calling it the "biggest mistake" she made on his behalf.
"He got offered to go and read for Pirates of the Caribbean, and I said no. Now wouldn't he have been perfect?" Sharon confessed. Corgan agreed, saying Ozzy would've been a great fit.
Although the specific role Ozzy was considered for is unclear, Pirates has a history of casting rock legends like Keith Richards and Paul McCartney. Despite missing out on Hollywood, Ozzy's legacy as the Prince of Darkness continues, with his latest album Patient Number 9 winning a Grammy. Black Sabbath's final reunion show is set for 5 July in Birmingham.
