The production of the biopic centred around Salman Shah titled, 'Swapner Rajkumar' has come to a halt. The decision was made due to the objection of the late actor's mother, Neela Chowdhury.

Director Chotku Ahmed, who is helming the project, only completed writing the script and was about to move forward with casting.

According to the maternal uncle of Salman Shah, Alamgir Kumkum, the director had not taken permission from the family.

"If anyone wants to work on projects about Salman Shah, they will need the family's permission. There is a writ filed in the High Court on this matter. Chotku Ahmed also did not take permission. That's why we are opposing the production of this film," commented Kumkum.

He continues, "We do not want any distorted information to be published about his life posthumously. Salman Shah was a beloved person to everyone. No one should be able to profit off of him. His fans will only be happy if the true history of Salman is presented."
