Nisho under the Kazak sun

Popular actor Afran Nisho has been spotted in a remote location abroad alongside director Redoan Rony, producer Shahriar Shakil, art director Shahidul Islam, and several foreign crew members. The sighting has fueled speculation that the team was working on Dam, Rony's upcoming feature film.
Although the production has yet to confirm details, Rony's recent posts on Instagram and Facebook have hinted at progress. Sharing a series of photos with the caption "Domm-er dom porikkha," he used hashtags such as #DommRecce and #Kazakhstan, strongly suggesting that location scouting is underway in the Central Asian country.
Earlier, Saudi Arabia and Jordan had been mentioned as possible filming sites, but the latest images indicate that Kazakhstan may host key sequences of the film. The rugged and dramatic landscapes shown in the pictures suggest a challenging environment for both cast and crew.
Dam marks Redoan Rony's return to directing after several years. Inspired by real events, the survival drama is being jointly produced by SVF Alpha-i Entertainment and Chorki.
Nisho stars alongside Chanchal Chowdhury, who praised the script as "extraordinary" and unlike anything he had previously worked on. Nisho himself described the project as "a major challenge" and said the performance demands had drawn him to the role.
The film's lead female actor has not yet been finalised. Shooting is expected to begin soon, with a planned release during Eid in 2026.
