Metallica’s Kirk Hammett to debut solo album

Metallica guitarist Kirk Hammett has revealed he is working on his debut solo album, describing it as a fusion of multiple genres.
Speaking to Rolling Stone, Hammett said the project will include classical, heavy, and funk influences. Unlike his 2022 instrumental 'Portals EP', the album will feature vocals, though he has yet to confirm a singer.
One standout track, 'The Mysterion', is inspired by ancient Greek texts. Meanwhile, Hammett remains busy with Metallica, already writing riffs for their next album. With 767 new ideas, he anticipates the band will start recording after their 72 Seasons tour ends in November.
Metallica's tour concludes in Auckland, New Zealand, on 19 November.
