Keanu Reeves hesitant on Constantine 2

A sequel to the 2005 cult classic Constantine is in development, but Keanu Reeves isn't fully on board yet. Co-star Peter Stormare, who played Lucifer and will return for the sequel, revealed that Reeves is unhappy with the current scripts.
Stormare explained that Reeves wants to keep the film true to its original tone—spiritual, grounded, and character-driven—not overloaded with action. "Keanu says, 'I've done John Wick. This movie is about demons and regular people," Stormare said.
The original Constantine had modest success at first but gained cult status over time. Reeves is reportedly concerned that Warner Bros wants to make the sequel too flashy, more like a Marvel film, which doesn't fit the story's darker, more intimate themes.
Director Francis Lawrence is set to return, but with Reeves pushing for a faithful approach, production may take time to align with his vision.
