Doja Cat teases new album Vie

Doja Cat has revealed her upcoming album 'Vie' will be a "pop-driven project" centred around love, romance and self-reflection. Speaking to V Magazine, the Grammy-winning artist described the project as both introspective and hopeful, saying, "This album is very much about love in a way that reflects how I want it to be in the future."
While Vie leans into pop, Doja confirms there's still plenty of rap throughout. She explores relationship dynamics, touching on breakups, frustrations with men, and the broader theme of connection, adding, "There are so many ways to talk about that feeling — like, ugh, men."
Following 2023's Scarlet, Vie is expected to drop this autumn. Despite past criticisms of making "Sellable" music, Doja, who now focuses on artistry over commercial success, said, "I want to focus more on how things sound."
