Del Toro’s Frankenstein trailer promises a gothic spectacle

Netflix has unveiled the official trailer for Guillermo del Toro's long-awaited adaptation of 'Frankenstein', set to reach cinemas on 17 October before streaming from 7 November.
The Oscar-winning director has described the project as "the culmination of a journey that has occupied most of my life," citing his lifelong fascination with Mary Shelley's novel.
The film stars Oscar Isaac as Victor Frankenstein, the brilliant yet flawed scientist whose pursuit of forbidden knowledge creates a tragic monster, played by Jacob Elordi. Mia Goth, Christoph Waltz, and Charles Dance also feature in a star-studded cast.
The trailer teases the Gothic grandeur promised by del Toro, with opulent ballrooms, icy Arctic landscapes, fiery laboratories, and the Creature's haunting demand for recognition: "My creator. I demand a single grace from you."
Visually rich and mythically charged, 'Frankenstein' appears set to cement del Toro's reputation as cinema's foremost master of macabre storytelling.
