Deftones drop 10th studio album

Sacramento alt-metal pioneers Deftones have released their long-awaited 10th studio album, 'Private Music', which arrived worldwide on Friday. The record marks the band's first full-length in five years, following 2020's Ohms, which peaked at No 5 on the Billboard 200.
The 11-track album is led by singles "My Mind Is a Mountain" and "Milk of the Madonna," with the rest of the lineup including "Locked Club," "Ecdysis," "Infinite Source," "Souvenir," "Cxz," "I Think About You All the Time," "Cut Hands," "~Metal Dream," and "Departing the Body." Produced in Malibu and Joshua Tree, the project blends the band's signature heaviness with atmospheric experimentation.
Deftones announced Private Music in July with minimalist cover art featuring an albino snake against a vivid green backdrop. In the weeks leading up to the release, they hosted exclusive listening sessions across cities including Amsterdam, Mexico City, London, New York, Sydney, Paris, and their hometown of Sacramento.
The band is currently on a North American headline tour, with recent stops at Madison Square Garden and the Kia Forum. The next leg begins in Vancouver before continuing through Canada and the US.
