Deep Purple return with heavy new single Arrogant Boy
Deep Purple have unleashed Arrogant Boy, a propulsive new single offering fans the first taste of their upcoming studio album, Splat!, due out on 3 July via earMUSIC.
Reuniting with legendary producer Bob Ezrin, the fast-paced hard rock track channels the raw power of the band's early years, drawing quick comparisons to classic anthems like Highway Star. An official music video featuring the band performing live in the studio accompanied the release.
Frontman Ian Gillan described the track as the story of a man named Billy who finds immense joy in rebelling against the upper class. "I cannot think of anything more fun than irritating the elite," he shared.
Promising to be their heaviest record in years, Splat! explores the transformation of humanity. The album will drop amid a massive 86-date global tour spanning 28 countries through December 2026.
