Charli XCX closes ‘Brat’ era, teases new film project

Charli XCX has officially closed the chapter on her celebrated Brat era with a dramatic farewell during her South Korean concert, hinting at what comes next. A message reading "Please don't let it be over" lit up the stage backdrop as the British pop star performed, marking the end of her Brat world tour.
Shortly after, she posted the moment on Instagram alongside a teaser for The Moment, her upcoming A24 film based on her own original concept. The project signals a new creative direction for Charli, who has been steadily expanding into film.
She is also set to star in Takashi Miike's next feature, as well as in the thriller I Want Your Sex with Olivia Wilde, the drama Sacrifice with Chris Evans and Anya Taylor-Joy, and the fantasy adaptation 100 Nights of Hero.
Charli's sixth album Brat—which debuted at No. 3 on the Billboard 200—cemented her as a pop powerhouse. Offstage, she married The 1975's George Daniel in July at a private London ceremony.
